A Penangite identified as Angelin Teh, 24, is believed to be among 49 killed in the Lao Airlines plane crash in Pakse, southern Laos on October 16. The Malaysian is believed to be working in a law firm and married to Joel Babcock, an American who also died in the crash. They have been staying in Laos for the past three years.
The Malaysian embassy in Laos confirmed that a Malaysian named Angelin Teh was listed in the airline list of passengers. However, the victim was not registered with the embassy.
On October 16, 2013, a Lao Airlines ATR-72-600 turboprop aircraft went down into the Mekongg River due to bad weather.
