Indonesian Aerospace (IAe) is planning to produce developments of its CN 235 transport aircraft and N250 turboprop commuter aircraft by 2016 and 2017 respectively. The N245 is a development of CN-235NG (Next Generation) which adopts among its new feature, a wingtip device on its wings.
The N270 which is a development of the N250 is assumed to have a capacity of 70 passengers against 50 passengers for the N250. Nevertheless, there has been plan by former IAe boss and Indonesian President, B.J Habibie to revive the N250 program. The new development of B.J Habibie’s N250 program shall be known as the Regio Prop. It is envisaged that the Regio Prop could have a capacity between 50 to 70 seats.
